How do you know a custom table is right before it's built?

Case study

The Client

Furniture with a past. Made for what comes next.

Since 2014, Kase Custom has been handcrafting reclaimed wood furniture in Arizona for spaces that need something more specific than an off-the-shelf table. Its tables are made to order in the dimensions and finish each project calls for: from everyday dining spaces and kitchens to restaurants, cafés, hotels and other high-traffic environments. Each piece is built from sustainably sourced reclaimed wood, carefully selected for its strength, beauty and natural character.

The result is furniture that doesn't simply fill a space. It is made around it.

THE SCALE OF CUSTOMIZATION

Every specification shapes the final table.

Kase Custom turns furniture into a made-to-order process. Customers can define the table around their space, from overall dimensions and height to wood finish and functional details. But with more flexibility comes more decisions and every choice needs to be understood before the final product can be confidently specified.

That level of choice is intentional. The Seating Shoppe describes customization as central to its process, working from the initial specification through design and delivery to create seating around a customer's vision. Its product catalogue spans dining and restaurant chairs, banquet seating, barstools, lounge seating, tables and more.

CUSTOMER SEGMENT

Furniture for spaces that don't fit a standard.

Kase Custom serves customers who need more than an off-the-shelf table — from high-traffic hospitality spaces to carefully designed homes and interiors.

Restaurants, cafés, bars & hotels

High-use spaces demand furniture that fits the environment, the workflow and the aesthetic. Kase Custom creates made-to-order tables around specific dimensions, reclaimed wood finishes and functional requirements, giving hospitality spaces more control over the final piece.

For restaurants, cafés, bars and hotels, the table, It needs to fit the space, support everyday use without compromising on character.

Architects, interior designers & decorators

For design professionals, furniture is part of a larger visual system. Dimensions, proportions, reclaimed wood character and finish all need to work together with the architecture and interior concept.

Kase Custom gives designers the flexibility to move beyond standard furniture and specify a table around the project turning a functional piece into part of the design language.

Homes, kitchens & dining spaces

Residential spaces often have their own proportions, layouts and ways of being used. Kase Custom allows homeowners to specify furniture around those realities, from the overall dimensions and table height to the finish and functional details.

The result is a table that feels considered from the beginning made to belong to the room rather than simply fit inside it.

Custom Spaces

Not every space follows standard dimensions. Compact rooms, unusual layouts and specific spatial requirements can make ready-made furniture feel like a compromise.

Kase Custom turns those constraints into part of the specification, allowing the table to be sized and configured around the space instead of forcing the space to accommodate the product.

OBSERVED PATTERNS

The questions customers ask before they commit.

When a table is made to order, choosing a product is only the beginning. Customers have to make decisions about dimensions, height, finish and functional options: then picture how every choice will come together in the final piece.

Company Manager

“Will this table actually fit my space?”

Home Owner

“Should I choose dining, counter or bar height?”

THE SPECIFICATION GAP

How do you know you've designed the right table?

Kase Custom tables are made to order around the needs of a space. Customers can choose dimensions, dining / counter / bar height, wood finish and functional options such as locking casters, table ledges and AC/USB power. The challenge was understanding how those specifications would look together on the finished table.

CURRENT DIGITAL WORLD

Dimensions become numbers.

Wood finishes become swatches.

The final configuration has to be imagined.

Casters, ledges and power are presented as separate choices.

THE FINISHED PRODUCT

Dimensions can be understood in context.

Wood finish can be judged at full scale.

The complete table can be evaluated at once.
